Bushwick is an up and coming neighborhood in Brooklyn and Granite St in particular is full of friendly people and families with children. There is a community garden across the street from the house. Not much of a nightlife by the house but it is just a few train stops away from hip and trendy Williamsburg and Morgantown. C-Town supermarket is nearby and dozens of restaurants in the area deliver fresh and cheap food quickly.
The L and J trains are just 2-3 blocks away for Manhattan's Union Square in 20 mins or Soho and Chinatown in 25 mins. The A and C trains is a quick 7 min walk from the house for downtown Brooklyn, the Barclay Center and JFK airport.
My husband Lavondo and I love to host but also will respect your privacy. The apartment comes with its own private entrance so you can come and go as you please without disturbing a soul.
House rulesSmoking and pets are not permitted. Smoking is permitted at the front of the house but only outside and far away from the doors and windows. Loud music should be off by 10pm.

No overnight guests who are not on the reservation. We will require the names of each reserved guest and may request to see ID of at least one reserved guest upon check in. This listing is part of family home so I would not expect a bachelor pad environment.

Thank you Ingrid!
We had a great time in NYC and in your room. Own bathroom and entrance. What do you want more? Very lovely hosts.
We, a family of 4, stayed with Ingrid for 4 nights. We enjoyed a warm and friendly welcome. We felt quite at home although the room is a bit dark with a small window, because it is in the sousterrain. There is a microwave and a fridge and limited kitchenware. It is nice to stay in a normal house, rather then in a hotel. More personal and you get a feeling of daily life in a Brooklyn neigbourhood. At a 5 minutes walk there is a good supermarket and the train/subwaystation is a 10 minutes walk away. It takes about 25 minutes to get to Manhattan.
We can recommend this adres, we look back upon our stay with great pleasure,

Ingrid is very kind and engaged. There is a direct connection with the subway to Manhattan. The neighbourhood is not a top location. The appartment has all the necessary equipment and even coffee and tea where there.
We had a great stay in NY and the home of Ingrid. The room was large and the beds were good. The bathroom was nice and clean. The subway was very close to the house, and the ride took only 20 minutes to Manhattan. Grocery store was five minutes away from the house, and ATM just around the corner of the house. I recommend others to rent this room.
Accommodation good, Separaterer input Cute Family Good Subway to Manhattan (half hour) underground stations in the neighborhood happy again
Gute U-Bahn Verbindung nach Manhattan (Halbe Stunde)
U-Bahnstationen in direkter Nachbarschaft
My daughter and I spent 6 nights in the Granite St. at Ingrid. Bottom line, a positive experience. Ingrid and her husband are really nice, helpful and straightforward. Room and bathroom were clean and the beds were actually very comfortable. What is missing in the room, is definitely a closet. Over days to have the open suitcase on the floor, is a little annoying. A 24/7-Minimarkt is 50 meters away, a supermarket again 50 meters. The driving time with L-or J-Train (each about 5 minutes walk to the station) to Manhattan is about half an hour, so it is a bit long if you want after a tiring day only shower again before the City or similar to eat drives. Must also be a conscious that one is in the middle of Brooklyn, not in a suburb of NY's flagship. Somehow, it was also cool to be "in the middle" and not isolated, in a tourist area. I was very impressed with the helpfulness of the people. Several times strangers have reached out to us recognizable Foreign and have offered help. I do not identify as of Germany. Again dispelled a prejudice ... Who is looking for a cheap place to stay and has no problems with the above trifles, should access.
